"The Obama administration said Thursday that its six-month moratorium on deepwater oil and gas drilling had caused only modest job and economic losses, most of which were offset by new jobs created in cleaning up the BP oil spill. That conclusion was quickly challenged by Louisiana’s two senators and officials of drilling companies, who said that the report reached overly optimistic conclusions based on poor logic and scanty evidence."
